Taking it to the next level...

HUGE congrats to my girlfriend who has been making great strides in her racing career. She had been riding a GSXR-1000 for the past year or more (I've posted it before). Recently her dad sold her 1000 and purchased a Hayabusa for her. Wow, looking to adopt J.E.???

Her dad has been racing in a series up in Oregon and she recently made the journey up there to watch him at Finals and to participate in a little racing of her own. This is her first time down the track with her busa and literally three out of four times she had ridden that weekend. She's a born natural!

She opted to race in the event as opposed to just racing time only's. She was doing great, cutting a 0.10 off her time each qualifing run. As great as that sounds, it also means when it comes to dial-in (since she was racing ET) it becomes very difficult to pick a dial-in time. After much discussion they agreed on a dial-in of 10.80.

Well, she ended up breaking out with a 10.7 and consequently told her dad she knew she should have dialed quicker. These moments are always bitter sweet, because your happy as heck that you broke out and ran quicker then you predicted... but it also sucks because you inevitably lost. Needless to say, the guy she raced dialed an 9.80 and she tree'd him (big time). After the race he came over and told her that he didn't think he had anything to worry about with her and was WRONG!

Way to go, girl! I am so proud of you and CONGRATS on moving up the busa! That's ROCKS!

For everyone else, let me remind you that this was her first time at the track on a busa and one (1) of a hand full of times she had ridden it that weekend. This girl has talent and my prediction is this: IF SHE STICKS WITH IT, WE'LL SEE HER RACING PRO IN NO TIME!

Not to steal the glory from her dad, as he won the Championship in the series he had been racing in Oregon! HUGE Congrats to him! He is a TRUE inspiration to those that know him and to those that don't... they will!

Much LOVE to the whole ENGLAND family!

This too shall pass...

We have officially sold black beauty and I am currently without wheels. She went to a good home, a guy bought it for his wife. He called to tell us his wife won't let him get near it and that she loves it! I am so happy she went to a good home, makes the separation a little easier to deal with.

As sad as it is, the future looks bright. We are saving up to buy a GSXR-1000 which will more then make-up for the loss. For those of you who are familiar with my drag racing goals, this DEFINITELY follows suit. I set three goals at the beginning of 2006:
  1. Win a race
  2. Be consistent
  3. Upgrade to a GSXR-1000

We are nearing the end of 2006 and I managed to achieve (or in the process of achieving) all of my goals. #2 is always an ongoing goal and the rest happened purely by circumstance. Overall, not too bad for 2006!

I will post new information or pics as they happen.

Stay tuned...
