I LOVE my husband...

It goes without saying that I love my husband, but he really knows (sometimes) just what to do or say that makes me feel so good. This weekend was no exception! We were not only blessed with beautiful weather, but he offered to pay my way into the races on Saturday. I was so excited! He was racing test-n-tune Saturday afternoon (4/29) and grudge fest that night. He asked if I wanted to race and I reminded him of my financial status - BROKE - and he said "my treat". Who would say no to that?? So I took him up on his offer. I ran some errands in the afternoon and got to the track around 2pm. I hung out and about 3:30 got ready for grudge fest. My first run, as were all my others... pretty crappy, but hey I was racing so I'm not gonna complain.

1st: .242 reaction, 2.136 60' = 11.56 @ 122.89 mph
2nd: .298 reaction, 2.067 60' = 11.93 @ 124.89 mph (against hubby)
3rd: .547 reaction, 2.118 60' = 11.37 @ 127.78 mph
4th: .304 reaction, 2.144 60' = 11.78 @ 122.16 mph
5th: .260 reaction, 2.283 60' = 11.52 @ 126.47 mph

My reaction stinks, but has been worse (if that's possible). Unfortunately, my 60' times are whats killing me. I can't seem to keep my body from spring boarding up when I pull my leg up to shift. I'm not sure what it is, although I'd venture to say it's my leathers. BUT that could be seen as a lame excuse. Anyways, its eating me alive trying to figure out the problem. Outside of that its practice, practice, practice.

I went back and looked at time slips prior to my accident and my 60' times were 1.8s & 1.9s. The only difference between now and then was I didn't have leathers and I didn't have the fear of crashing. There are many levels I'd like to take my bike, including: extensions, new seat, and air shifter... that all takes money! SOMEDAY!

Despite the times, I had a great day racing with friends and my hubby! Thanks babe, your the best!
